The sun goes down now darkness and gloom
As I sit sad and lonely in my room
I've watched TV and had my tea
What lies in the future for you and me
Great times we've had gone before
As each weekend I come to your door
So many places and sights to see
All spent together just you and me
But sadness comes as the darkness falls
Alone as trapped by these four Walls
But very soon I will call you
To chat on the phone as we often do
That can never replace the warmth of your touch
Alone in my flat I miss that so much
But it's been like that for three whole years
With you lots of laughter at the start some tears
And now like an old married couple are we
I know you well as you know me
I hope our love never dies or goes away
Remember we said it's forever and a day
But it's hard here alone and sad in my flat
Thinking all sorts about this and that
But soon we will chat on the phone
Trying to quess your mood by your tone
Please just think of me at least each day
And one day soon I'll be down your way
To continue lifes journey you and me
Because you and me is how it should be
So whatever the future has in store
Just remember no one could love you more
